One of the first places wrinkles begin to appear is around our eyes.  These wrinkles can come from squinting, laughter and sleeping with your face against a pillow. The skin around your eyes is sensitive so use a wrinkle cream specifically designed for your eyes.

You may have noticed that the skin around your eyes is thin and delicate. This makes it more susceptible to damage than other parts of your face. It also makes it more sensitive to irritants. For this reason, you should not use the wrinkle cream you use on the rest of your face on your eyes. Wrinkle creams not designed specifically for your eyes contain exfoliates and other chemicals to help penetrate the less permeable skin on the rest of your face. These chemicals can irritate sensitive eye skin.

Choose All Natural

Your eyes will benefit from all-natural products with antioxidants and other anti-inflammatory minerals that will reduce puffiness and the appearance of wrinkles. All-natural products contain plant extracts and minerals, often organically produced.

How to Use Eye Wrinkle Cream

When you start using eye creams, avoid common mistakes. You do not need to use a lot of cream on your eyes and should be careful only to use a pea-sized dab. Follow instructions for the eye cream you use because some are not intended for your eyelid.

Always wash your face before applying your eye wrinkle cream. Dot the cream along the bone structure beneath your eyes and rub in a circular motion, moving towards the inner corner of the eye. Be careful not to get the cream in your eye because it can irritate.

For creams that can also be applied to your eyelid, again, dab small amounts on the bone structure. Do not rub this part, but dab gently until it is absorbed and avoid the part of the lid that is directly covering your eye. Make sure you wait until it is completely absorbed before applying makeup, so your makeup is not affected by the extra moisture.

Most eye wrinkle creams can be used daily. If you have particularly sensitive skin, start out using the cream every other day. If after a few weeks, you see no negative effects, go ahead and apply every day.

Storing Eye Wrinkle Cream

Many cosmeticians recommend that you store your eye cream in the refrigerator. Because these eye wrinkle creams contain natural ingredients, they can spoil. Keeping them in the refrigerator will ensure your cream stays fresh and lasts until you use it all.
